About Nucleo

The hub that places Malaga in the premier league of microelectronics.

Nucleo is an initiative of Malaga City Council, driven by Promalaga, which reinforces the city's role as one of the main technological innovation hubs in Europe. Conceived as Malaga's semiconductor innovation hub, Nucleo expands and specializes the local ecosystem in a strategic area for industrial and digital development. Following the model of the National Digital Content Hub, it offers training, incubation, acceleration and specialized investment in microelectronics, photonics and in the future, quantum. This project strengthens Malaga's role as a benchmark technology hub in Europe, enhancing its ability to attract talent, companies and high-value investment.

  • Linked to the arrival of imec, with key physical proximity to the ecosystem.
  • Aligned with PERTE Chip and European pilot lines.
  • Training for young people from Malaga in semiconductor development.
  • Meta Living Lab to test, validate and scale real technological solutions.
